Welcome to Winthrop Middle School! Whether you're a returning family or joining our community for the first time, I'm delighted you're here. Serving students in grades 6 through 8, our school is built on a foundation of Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Responsibility, and Cooperation, and every day our staff works to create a place where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. We believe that a strong school community is a partnership between educators, families, and students, and we're honored to be part of your child's middle school journey — a time of tremendous growth, discovery, and change.

Academically, we are proud to offer a traditional curriculum that builds a strong foundation in core subjects, paired with a rich variety of co-curricular activities that let students explore their passions — including STEM, Robotics, Drama, and our Outing Club. Our athletic teams have a proud tradition of friendly competition with surrounding communities, giving students the chance to develop teamwork, discipline, and school pride. Just as important, we place great value on the social and emotional growth of our students during these formative years, helping them put our core values into practice — treating others with respect and compassion, acting with integrity, taking responsibility for their choices, and working together as a community.
