🪨🎨 Digging Into the Past in 6th Grade Social Studies! 🎨🪨

Our WMS 6th graders are exploring cave paintings and what archaeologists can learn about the people and cultures who created them. Students first developed their own hypotheses about the meanings behind the artwork and then researched the evidence to discover what archaeologists believe the paintings may have represented.
What a great way to practice historical thinking, curiosity, and using evidence to investigate the past! #WMS #WPSconnects

There has been a reported widespread electrical outage in Winthrop, including at all three of our schools. Due to not having access to running water, we are doing an early dismissal. Middle and high school students will be sent home immediately, and then the elementary students. Grade school students will be dismissed around two o clock. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope to have power restored by tomorrow.
